1. Introduction
HynoJobs is an education revision app for Indian competitive government exams including UPSC, TSPSC, APPSC, MPSC, SSC, Banking and other state PSC exams. We provide practice tests, instant explanations, performance analytics, and smart revision recommendations to help aspirants prepare effectively.
This Privacy Policy applies to all users of the HynoJobs app on Google Play Store, Apple App Store, and our website.
2. Information We Collect
2.1 Personal Information You Provide
- Account information: Name, email address, mobile number, password (encrypted), and profile picture (if provided).
- Exam preferences: Target exam, subjects of interest, preparation level, language preference.
- Payment information: When you purchase a subscription, payment details are processed by our payment partners (Razorpay, Google Play Billing, Apple In-App Purchase). We do not store your full card or bank details on our servers.
- Communications: Messages, feedback, support requests sent to us via email, in-app chat, or social channels.
2.2 Information Collected Automatically
- Usage data: Tests attempted, questions answered, accuracy, time spent, streaks, scores, and feature interactions.
- Device information: Device model, OS version, unique device identifiers, mobile network details, app version.
- Log data: IP address, access timestamps, crash reports, performance data.
- Approximate location: Derived from IP address (for regional content & analytics). We do not collect precise GPS location.
2.3 Sensitive Information
We do not collect any sensitive personal data such as government IDs (Aadhaar, PAN), biometric data, health information, financial account credentials, contacts, SMS, or call logs. We do not access your photos, camera, or microphone.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect for the following purposes:
- To create and manage your HynoJobs account.
- To deliver personalized practice tests, content recommendations, and revision plans.
- To process payments and provide access to premium features.
- To analyze your performance and generate insights, dashboards, and reports.
- To send important service notifications (e.g., new content, exam updates) and promotional emails (you can opt out anytime).
- To provide customer support and respond to your queries.

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties. We share information only in the following cases:
- Service providers: Trusted vendors who help us operate the Service — cloud hosting (AWS / Google Cloud), payment processors (Razorpay, Stripe), email delivery (SendGrid), analytics (Firebase, Google Analytics). These parties are bound by confidentiality obligations.

5. App Permissions
The HynoJobs Android/iOS app may request the following permissions, all of which can be revoked from your device settings:
- Internet & Network State: Required to load content, sync progress and process payments.
- Notifications: To send streak reminders, new test alerts, and exam updates.
- Storage (optional): Only if you choose to download tests for offline practice.
We do not request access to your contacts, SMS, camera, microphone, location, or files outside our app's storage.
6. Data Security
We take data security seriously and implement industry-standard safeguards:
- All data is transmitted over HTTPS / TLS 1.2+ encryption.
- Passwords are stored using bcrypt one-way hashing — we never store passwords in plain text.
- Payment data is handled by PCI-DSS compliant payment processors.
- Servers are hosted on secure cloud infrastructure with regular security audits.
- Access to user data is strictly limited to authorized personnel on a need-to-know basis.
However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure. While we strive to protect your information, we cannot guarantee absolute security.
7. Data Retention & Deletion
We retain your personal information only as long as necessary to provide the Service or as required by law.
- Account data: Retained while your account is active. Deleted within 90 days after account closure.
- Test attempts & analytics: Retained for up to 24 months for performance tracking, then anonymized.
- Payment records: Retained for 7 years as required by Indian tax & financial laws.
Account Deletion Request: You can request deletion of your account and personal data anytime by:
- Using the Delete Account option in the app (Settings → Account → Delete Account), or
- Emailing us at support@hynojobs.com with the subject "Delete My Account".
We will process deletion requests within 30 days. Anonymized analytics data may be retained for product improvement.
8. Children's Privacy
HynoJobs is intended for users aged 13 years and above. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with information, please contact us at support@hynojobs.com and we will promptly delete it.
Users between 13–18 should use the Service only with parental consent and supervision.
9. Your Rights
Under applicable Indian laws including the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you have the right to:
